Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is used to treat sun-induced pigmentation, vascularity issues such as rosacea, mild to moderate acne, textural issues and improves skin clarity and tone. IPL uses a broad spectrum of light which is primarily absorbed by melanin and oxyhemoglobin and effectively reduces the appearance of sun spots, capillaries, and builds collagen. The tissues around the targeted area remain undamaged, and this treatment is safe for Fitzpatrick I-V. A series treatments are usually needed in order to achieve optimal results. PRE & POST TREATMENT: *Discontinue use of harsh topicals (Retinol, AHA, BHA, etc) 5-7days pre and post treatment. *Daily use of SPF is needed in order to protect skin post treatment. *Sun exposure is contraindicated 3 weeks pre and post treatment. *Use of self tanner pre treatment is contraindicated. *Photosensitive medications are contraindicated while receiving treatments.
